Join the Fisheries Conservation and Management Propagation Lab (https://www.azcfwru.com/) and assist in the propagation of YY male fish (supermales) for nonnative and nuisance species found throughout Arizona! YY males have the potential to help eradicate problem populations of nonnative species. This research has important implications in fisheries management of nonnative species and in commercial aquaculture production. The research technician will assist with all procedures used in the production of YY male red shiner and green sunfish. Most of the research will take place at the University of Arizona’s Campus Agriculture Center, but occasional field work will be done for sampling and collections.
