The Desert Laboratory on Tumamoc Hill is looking for two student assistants to work with the Paleo Collections Manager. These positions will be funded through the 2022-2023 academic year.

Student Level B
Rate: $14.50/hr
The student suited for this position will be:
- Interested in vertebrate fossils and museum collections
- Able to work during regular daytime hours, 8-10 hrs per week
- Able to provide own transport to Tumamoc Hill
Desired skills:
- Basic knowledge of vertebrate skeletons or willingness to learn
- Imaging software experience
- Database management experience or willingness to learn
Anticipated tasks:
- Assist with electronic records
- Assist with basic data collection using calipers
- Assist with image editing
- Assist with database management system
Student Level C
Rate: $17.50/hr
The student suited for this position will be:
- Interested in vertebrate fossils and museum collections
- Able to work during regular daytime hours, 8-10 hrs per week
- Able to provide own transport to Tumamoc Hill
Desired skills:
- Basic knowledge of vertebrate skeletons or willingness to learn
- Studio photography with willingness to learn scientific photography
- Imaging software experience
- Database management experience or willingness to learn
Anticipated tasks:
- Assist with scientific photography of fossil specimens
- Assist with database management system and data input
