Corporate Matching
Many companies match the charitable contributions of their employees. In essence, you are doubling your money and doubling your support. Check with your human resources department for more information.
Securities
Gifts of appreciated securities can provide special tax advantages, including a charitable deduction for the full fair market value of the gift and avoidance of capital gains taxes. Stocks, bonds, and mutual funds are accepted.
Estate Gifts
You may bequeath a specific asset, a dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or the remainder of your estate after all other gifts have been distributed. You can choose how the University of Arizona may use the funds from your bequest.
Real Estate
Gifts of real estate are sold quickly and converted into cash or used directly in connection with an existing Institute of the Environment program. Accepted types of real are vacant land, residential property, or commercial property.
In-Kind Gifts
Tangible personal property that relates to the charitable purpose of the UA may be eligible for a deduction equal to the full fair market value of the item.
