Amanda Leinberger
Adaptation Program Manager, AIRES Center for Climate Adaptation Science and Solutions
Amanda Leinberger is a native Tucsonan who joined the Center for Climate Adaptation Science and Solutions as the Adaptation Program Manager in January 2018. Prior to coming to the University of Arizona, Amanda spent two years in San Juan, Puerto Rico as a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Coastal Management Fellow working with the Puerto Rico Coastal Zone Management Program on projects related to climate change and coastal resilience. She is a co-author of the US Caribbean Chapter of the Fourth National Climate Assessment and of Puerto Rico’s State of the Climate Report 2014-2017. Amanda co-led the organization of the inaugural Southwest Adaptation Forum (SWAF) and is currently leading the development of the Southwest Practitioners Adaptation Network (SPAN), a network of networks for adaptation and assessment practitioners in the Southwest region.
