Anna Seiferle-Valencia
Program Coordinator, AIRES
In her role as AIRES Program Coordinator, Anna helps oversee all AIRES centers and programs, coordinate and administer the Water, Environmental, and Energy Solutions initiative and Strategic Initiative funding, manage research initiatives, and supports AIRES operations as needed. She was previously the Research and Outreach Manager at the Desert Laboratory on Tumamoc Hill before moving into her current role with AIRES in the spring of 2022.
Her research expertise is Mesoamerican archaeology and Colonial-period pictorial manuscripts. Her current research interests combine pictorial manuscripts, ethnobotany, and the sociocultural dynamics of circulation and suppression of ethnobotanical knowledge in Colonial Mexico.
