Anne S. Kurtin

Annie Szer Kurtin is currently an Adjunct Lecturer in the College of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture (CAPLA) at the University of Arizona. She is also an independent exhibition designer and design consultant. Annie holds a Master of Arts degree from Goldsmiths College, University of London; and a Master of Architecture degree from Columbia University. At Columbia she received the McKim Prize for Excellence in Design, the Saul Kaplan Traveling Fellowship, the William Kinne Traveling Fellowship, and the Lucille Smyser Lowenfish Memorial Prize. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Classics from the University of California, Santa Cruz, where she received honors in her major. During college she studied abroad at Oxford University. Before graduate school, Annie worked at the American Institute of Architects, New York Chapter, as their Director of Public Policy and Communications. She was also involved with the Chapter’s early efforts during the reconstruction of the World Trade Center site. Current research includes passive heating and cooling systems, and sustainable materials.
