Ariane is passionate about education that connects people to the living world and actualizes their power as change makers. She is the Environmental Education Coordinator for AIR, where she supports the Diana Liverman Scholars Program, which develops students’ environmental storytelling skills through cross-disciplinary experiential learning; the Carson Scholars Program, which trains the next generation of environmental researchers in the art of public communication; and the Environmental & Resilience VIP teams, which engage students in authentic research around global challenges. Prior to joining AIR, Ariane worked in outdoor education throughout the Southwest and taught place-based classes at City Center for Collaborative Learning and internationally. She also worked with the UArizona environmental health citizen science program Project Harvest and with the global Earthkeepers Program, housed at UArizona.
