I am an anthropologist and have spent the last decade living and working in a number of African countries carrying out research on climate change and adaptation, fisheries management and governance, wildlife and community based management and tourism, watershed governance, and sustainable land management. My focus in these projects has ranged from understanding collective action, gender, institutional analysis and how cultural history affects perception of change.
