Lianyang Zhang

Lianyang Zhang’s research interests include optimal analysis and design of deep foundations under different loading conditions, three-dimensional characterization of fractured rock masses, geotechnical analysis and design of landfills, and, recently, underground storage of renewable energy using compressed air and recycling and utilization of mining wastes as construction material. He is the author of two books and has published over 50 technical papers in the geotechnical and geoenvironmental fields.
