Peter M. Waller

Associate Professor, Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering

My background is in irrigation and remote sensing. My primary research focus at this time is the production of biofuels from algae. We have a patent pending algae growth system installed at the ARID research facility, which includes infrastructure and instrumentation for research on algae production. I also have a long standing project with theĀ USDA-ARSĀ focused on remote sensing and precision agriculture. My part in this project is the development and programming of the WINDS model, which is a computer model run on daily time steps for precision agriculture management in irrigation agriculture.
