The Web Content intern will help create content; post content; manage content-related projects and work directly with TWS staff of all levels.
The Digital Advocacy teams at The Wilderness Society (TWS) are seeking highly motivated undergraduate or postgraduate students for a position that offers valuable hands-on experience both developing and executing strategy, working with our Digital team. This internship offers opportunities to research, create and strategize a variety of outreach materials - including blogs, graphics and digital content creation across the board. Focus issues include the fight against climate change, protection of public lands, equitable access to nature and the outdoors, and environmental justice.
Intern will support the Public Lands Curriculum team in the development of a 5-year vision and strategy for the Public Lands curriculum resource that aligns with TWS’s Strategic Results. The Intern will also assist with outreach and education related to the curriculum. In this position individuals will assist in the planning and implementation of a series of internal and external stakeholder listening sessions to gather ideas and input to aid in the creation of a holistic 5-year vision and strategy for the curriculum resource.
Environmental education program seeks dynamic, responsible presenters to conduct elementary, middle, and high school programs on topics including water conservation, recycling, energy efficiency, renewable energy, electrical safety, climate change, and bicycle and pedestrian safety.Presenters earn $45 per presentation, which includes drive time, set up and clean up. Presenters usually do between 2 and 6 presentations per day, depending on what is scheduled at a school.
The Sevilleta Long-Term Ecological Research (LTER) program at the University of New Mexico is seeking to hire a Research Scientist. This position has a large field ecology component and requires the ability to live for extended periods at the Sevilleta Field Station near Socorro, New Mexico, during spring and fall data collection periods (up to five non-consecutive months per year) and to drive a field vehicle.The primary responsibility of this research technician position is to work with other scientists to collect and manage data for a number of long-term, field-based research projects.
The Surface Water Quality Improvement Planning Value Stream in the ADEQ Water Quality Division (WQD) is seeking a recent college graduate or an early career environmental scientist to assist staff members in managing tasks related to alleviating surface water quality impairments in Oak Creek near Sedona and abandoned mine remediation sites in the Bradshaw Mountains near Prescott. This position will be shared between two project managers based in Flagstaff and will support the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of watershed improvement and mine remediation projects.
